Axces- Door Handles
The design started with a problem identification while performing an empathy exercise while using a wheelchair.
Being unable to open and close a door was one of the biggest issue that was idetified. the conventional door handles aren’t accessible for a wheelchair user while they are trying to close the door behind, therefore a need for a new design emerged.
Axces An Accessible Door Handle
Axces is a foldable door handle that is mounted near the hinge side of the door. it opens up at an angle of a 35 degree which is the ideal to pull the door with the least amount of force.

Opening and Closing doors should be as easy for people with mobility issues as it is for us. This simple device makes them more independent in their lives.
Installing the device closing the hinge makes it easier for wheelchair users to grab it without giving much stress on their body and making it easy to shut the door.
